K9 Search UK spoke to Birmingham Dogs Home yesterday, they have a very large amount of unclaimed strays at present and are appealling for their owners to come forward and reclaim.
Two weeks ago a stray dog was picked up in South Birmingham by a finder, finder for some reason took the dog all the way to North Stafford before handing it in as a stray. Fortunately we were able to locate the owner and she was reunited.
With this in mind, we recommend that missing dog owners pay a personal visit to Birmingham Dogs Home in case their dogs have been found, handed in, but in the wrong area.
Owners can visit the dogs home between 11am and 4.45pm Monday to Saturday.
