I just don't know what dog owners in the West Midlands would do without the tremendous service provided by K9SearchUK. I know at times your patience must be tested by certain uncaring and ignorant owners, but I just wanted to say a long overdue massive thank you to you and your colleagues for all your help in reuniting the genuinely lost dogs with their owners.
Is the blue dane that was mentioned in preloved ads by k9 search the one I saw advertised in Free Ads yesterday? The one they threatened to have put to sleep if no one offered it a home?
I hope the people are traced who kept it in a half starved state.I`m glad that it might have the chance of a decent home now. I have owned Danes for 30 years and reading the ad yesterday made the poor dog sound savage which is entirely out of character unless they have been badly treated. Thanks to all those who have given this dog another chance.
Kind regards,
Chris
These are a few of the emails i have received today from people who have been concerned about the poor great dane we have been keeping an eye on the last few days on free adds only for him to end up in kennels today discarded has a stray ?
He will now be found a rescue who can help him .
1..says: Thank goodness, poor dog, have been following the ads and seething! Have kept the phone number from the ad if you need it, had a feeling he would turn up in the pound.
2.. well done coming to the rescue again.xxxxxx
3.. cant give enough respect for the amazing job your all doing sorting out the problems of idiots any chance you can put a photo of the dane on to show people how bad things get?
Walsall Council are currently undertaking a consultation on whether to introduce Dog Control Orders within its Parks and are asking members of the public to write in so they can investigate the impact of the presence of dogs in the Parks.
The Local Authority has the power to make an Order which will make it a criminal offence, subject to a fine of up to £1000, to do any of the following in a Park:
1) When in charge of a dog fail to remove faeces deposited by it.
2) Fail to keep a dog on a lead.
3) Fail to put a dog on a lead and keep a dog on a lead when directed to do so by an authorised officer.
4) When in charge of a dog to allow it to enter land from which dogs are excluded.
5) Take more than a specified number of dogs onto land.
The Council can only impose an order where it is a necessary and proportionate response to problems caused by the activities of dogs and those in charge of them.
Representations are invited from members of the public as to whether the Council should introduce such orders in the parks in Walsall . You should write to ?The Parks Manager, Leisure & Community Health, Walsall Council, 6th Floor, Tameway Tower, 48 Bridge St, Walsall WS1 1JZ or email parksmanagers@walsall.go.uk stating your name & address & why you feel that a Dog Control Order is needed to cover Walsall Councils Parks & Open Spaces
If you are a user of Walsall's parks then please do write in to the Council with any opinions you have and hopefully also to promote the use of the parks by responsible dog owners. They have not said as yet which of the above they would be bringing in or where but we would like to hope they can get feedback from responsible and sensible dog walking park users.
Hello, pleased to see that you've reopened the guestbook. You do an excellent job helping so many dogs and l love to hear the good news when you manage to reunite them with thier owners.keep up the good work. Do the kennels rehome to people living in flats.l know someone who is interested in rehoming a small dog but they live in a flat, only 2 or 3 floors high and they may live on the ground floor as she is registered disabled, but not sure what the rules are for rehoming in these circumstances. many thanks Caz
We have today reopened our guest book for supporters to leave their comments and messages. Any inappropriate messages will be removed. Spammers we will reported and deleted.
After a dodgy start at the kennels it was decided it was best to take them in seperate cars, but what a perfect passenger Harry was, snoring all the way and made no objection to my singing at all. x
