Pets Wonky Pets Rescue - established 2011 for all rescue animals who have issues, whether they be physical, mental or psychological. We are a non-destruct rescue, taking cats, dogs, reptiles, birds, small furries - in fact, most things! Wonky Pets was formed to help out those 'special' cases - animals who need extra care and attention, for whatever reason, although we are happy to help out with 'normal' pets, too. Deed Not Breed was formed in January 2007 in response to the 'Dangerous dog amnesty' proposed by Merseyside police after the tragic death of Ellie Lawrensen who was killed by her uncles pit bull terrier dog Reuben. The police planned and implemented a two week long 'amnesty' whereby anyone owning a dog that resembled the pit bull terrier 'type' could hand in their animal for destruction without fear of prosecution.

DDAWatch is a Not for profit company, registration number 7393352, set up to help monitor "dangerous dog" legislation, to educate and assist those affected by it, while campaigning to find fair, workable solutions that can better protect the public without compromising the lives and welfare of countless dogs who have never acted dangerously.
