Facebook Team Chat Boxes

You will have access to several chat boxes.  Lost dogs, found dogs, general chat, links & screenshots.

When you are available to post an alert please post in the relevant chat box so the rest of the team know whats happening.

Feel free to ask any questions in the relevant chat box.

Facebook Page Access

Facebook changes mean that you can no longer access your personal profile and pages at the same time.

From your personal profile, at the top right of click on your profile picture, then click on "see all profiles".
A drop down box will appear and you click on the one you require.

To go back to your profile do exactly the same.

Facebook Page Messages and Notifications

When it actually works, anyone messaging our pages receives an auto-response.  Its pretty straightforward, it tells them what to do if they need our help.  You will soon learn that not everyone follows our instructions.  If its for a missing/found dog, unless we receive their form, we do NOT offer any advice or assistance.

In a situation where a form has not been received, request it once more.  If nothing comes through, move the message to"DONE"

Once a form has been received, you can now offer the advice and guidance.  All of the information can be found in our Information Centre  You can either send the website link which covers everything or you can find the required information and send that.

Reunifications

If anyone messages to say they are the owner of a found dog or they have found one our missing dogs, ask them for a contact number.  Once you have a contact number, please post in the relevant chat box for further advice until you are familiar with our full reunification processes.  Sadly, there are some unscrupulous people that may try to reclaim a dog that isnt theirs or try to obtain money from missing dog owners.

Reunited missing dogs will be moved to our Happy Tails page by a senior admin.

Found dogs are not moved.

Dangerous Dogs Act

Under no circumstance should any team member offer advice on the Dangerous Dogs Act.  Contact Jennie via message if advice is needed.
