Carly.webp

CARLY, MASTIFF, FEMALE, 4 YEARS

Meet Carly a 4-year-old Mastiff cross who is a true joy to be around.

Carly is one of our long termers at the centre and has been in our care for over a years time, looking for a home to call her own.

Carly is extremely loyal, loving, and affectionate, and she loves all the fuss you can give her. Carly is also extremely obedient once you’ve established a real bond and training with her, and she’s a dream to walk once she’s calmed down from her initial excitement.

Carly also enjoys playing games of fetch and has learned to swap and trade objects of value, proving her intelligence and willingness to learn.

We do feel that Carly could potentially live with another, calmer male dog, as while she has a playful side, she won’t constantly want to play and interact, as she is very happy simply co-existing.

BRUNO.webp

BRUNO, CROSSBREED, MALE, 3 YEARS OLD

Bruno is a lovely, sweet lad looking for his forever home. He is a 3-year-old, large crossbreed who is very lively and strong but also loves being pampered with toys.

Bruno will need a sensible owner who can handle his energy and provide him with plenty of exercise and playtime. Bruno does have a tendency to chew on materials like metal and plastic, so owners will need to provide him with alternatives in the home or monitor his behaviour.

Bruno will be looking for an active owner, as he is very energetic and requires plenty of exercise and mental stimulation to keep him happy. He would strongly benefit from further obedience training, as well as basic manners training to ensure that he adjusts well to his new home.

We feel that Bruno could possibly live with another dog in a home environment providing they can match Bruno’s energy and have a successful introduction at the centre.

We also feel Bruno can live with children aged 13 and above providing they are experienced with large boisterous dogs

Overall Bruno is a lovely dog who will bring joy and excitement to your home, who will need a dedicated owner that can provide him with the care he needs.

LUCHI.webp

LUCHI, STAFFIE, MALE NEUTERED, 3 YEARS

Luchi is a very lovely and affectionate boy once comfortable with you, however can be unsure of being extensively handled by new people or in a vet

environment just needs to be handled correctly and allowed to come and warm up to new people and situations at his pace then he will become more confident and accepting, the key with this is building a bond and trust.

Luchi can be quite stressed in this kennel environment as he has shown to have separation anxiety but with adequate exercise and enrichment this does calm him and once he has had chance to burn off pent up energy he walks very nicely on a harness in calmer surroundings.

Luchi has been known on multiple occasions to be able to open fridges, new adopters will need to both be aware of this, and also make accommodations to prevent this in the home, we highly recommend keeping him out of the kitchen, however if this is unavoidable securing the fridge with a child lock will be strongly advised.

Having a garden will be essential for Luchi as he loves to have his zoomies. Luchi will need to be supervised in the garden as has been known to scale fences.

He does like to play with toys preferably softer toys as they are his favourite.

Luchi loves to sniff and explore on his walks and likes other dogs and has walked with many dogs at the centre so we feel he could potentially live with the right dog as long as its a good fit, and introduced correctly.

MAPLE.webp

A little bit about me

Hey, I’m Maple. I’m a friendly girl who is looking for a loving home to call my own. I enjoy going on adventures, and need understanding owners who understand my breeds needs, as well as being active to come exploring with me.

My Carers Notes

Maple is the most loyal and loving girl once she gets to know you. She can be shy and reserved initially, but after a few meets she soon comes out of her shell. She entered our centre as a stray dog, so not a lot is known about her past but it is clear that she was under socialised with both people and dogs.

Maple being a Malinois, we are looking for owners who have experience with the breed due to her needs. She is extremely clever and has already learnt plenty of tricks already such as sit, stay, give paw and lie down, all for a treat of course!

She loves to spend her day in our outdoor paddock and in the outdoor part of her kennels. With this she would benefit from having direct access into a secure garden with 6 ½ ft or higher fencing to make her feel most comfortable.

Due to Maple’s dog reactivity, we have been working on muzzle training in our centre. She is also having ‘watch me’ training which the new owners will need to continue with in her new home.

ENZO.webp

A little about me
Hello, I’m Enzo. I am looking for a family who loves going on adventures just as much as me. I love going on long walks and exploring my surroundings. I love to play with toys but can get a little snatchy with them, therefore I need a little training to discourage this behaviour.

My Carers Notes
Meet our gorgeous Enzo.
He came to us as a stray and has shown to be a fun and clever pooch who is a real joy to be around. Enzo does have a sensitive side and can be worried of new people but he is learning to trust again and can be very affectionate. When frustrated Enzo does become overly grabby and this can become excessive if not correctly handled. This mainly occurs when out and about on his walks, because of this Enzo is muzzle trained to enable us to keep him calm and reward him whilst he makes the right decisions.

We are looking for owners who will physically be able to manage Enzo as he is very strong on a lead and harness. He is currently receiving some training for this but will need to be continued in his new home. Enzo is looking for a home as the only animal and with no children. He is also going to need a new owner who has experience of working shepherds, as Enzo ideally needs a job to do to keep him stimulated.

Enzo is a bouncy lad who loves nothing more than to be running around our secure fields playing with his toys.

STRYKER.webp

A little bit about me
Hello, I’m Stryker. I’m a lovely boy who is a big fan of all toys! I’m looking for an adult only home to take me on plenty of walks and understand my breeds needs.

Carers notes
Stryker is a sweet boy who can get a little nervous from when you first meet him but soon comes out of his shell. He is a very strong lad who will pull forward on his walks when he sees something that he is interested in.

His main motivation are toys as he loves all different types, and has learnt to trade toys during play. He will allow you to fuss him whilst he plays but you will need to swap toys and allow him to leave his previous toy before being able to pick this up. Also, when it comes to treats Stryker can get a little impatient and will try and take these from your hands, so due to this he would benefit from some basic training to understand a wait and then reward approach.

Stryker would benefit from being the only dog in the home due to being under socialised. He would also be best in an adult only home that has previous dog experience.

**Unfortunately, Striker’s tail has been amputated in our care, following an injury, this is something that can be explained when rehoming him, but doesn’t at all affect his quality of life.**

CHEEKO.webp

CHEEKO, XL BULLY, MALE, NEUTERED

Meet Cheeko! Our XL Bully boy is a big lover, with plenty of energy and bounce. He’s only 11 months old, but he already knows his basic commands and responds to his name. He’s a joy to be around, so he’s ideal for families with older children or teenage children who can keep up with him.

While Cheeko is a very lovable pup, he has some challenging behaviours that need to be addressed. Cheeko is dog-reactive, but we have been muzzle-training him at the centre. Cheeko walks well on a Halti, which his new family should continue to use to make him feel comfortable in social situations.

OMALLEY.webp

Meet O’Malley, our incredible Malinois who’s looking for a loving and capable home! This handsome boy has had a bit of a tough start in life, but we’re certain that he will make an amazing addition to the right home – he just needs someone who’s willing to give him the time and understanding he needs.

O’Malley arrived into our care as a stray after being found tied up outside the centre, and despite his rocky start, he’s still a very friendly and loving dog, who does enjoy fuss and cuddles once a bond has been established. He just needs an owner that can offer time and patience for O’Malley to come out of his shell. O’Malley is nervous and very under-socialised especially around new people in particular, so his future home will need to be patient and understanding as he adjusts to a new environment and learns to trust again.

He’s super smart and eager to learn, and while he’s not the fastest learner, he’s definitely willing to put in the work! So if you’re someone who’s willing to commit to his training, then O’Malley will make a truly loyal and devoted companion.

It’s essential that O’Malley is placed with someone who is active and experienced with dogs. Whilst also willing to give him the training and support he needs. O’Malley does thrive on routine, as he is a large dog with lots of energy and does need consistency in his day-to-day life. He can be known to startle quite easily on walks, so his future home will also need to be patient and understanding as he adjusts to a new environment and learns to trust new people. But he’s such a sweet and intelligent dog, and we know he’ll make a fantastic companion to the right person.

In our care, we have successfully Halti trained him for walks, but we do feel it’s essential to continue his training in his new home. O’Malley has also received muzzle training which is used for both introductions to people as well as vet visits, as he can be fear reactive.

O’Malley has received lots of vet socialisation over a few months, in our care to build up his confidence, and has come a long way since his arrival. However he is still be a bit wary of new people, at least at first, because of this he does wear his muzzle during vet visits as a precaution.

KAISER.webp

A Little About Me

Hi there, my name is Kaiser. I am a very big softie who loves all the cuddles and affection. I have have had quite a rough start in life so I am looking for someone i can spend most of the day with as I’m not too keen on being alone.

My Canine Carers Notes

Kaiser is a very friendly boy who loves to play with his toys and run around with our staff at the centre. He also enjoys his walks, which are on his Halti as he can be quite strong initially, we would highly recommend this is continued in a new home environment.

As Kaiser isn’t keen on other dogs he is looking to be the only dog in the home, and due to his playful and bouncy nature we suggest he could live with older children (16+).

LUNA.webp

Hello, I am Luna. I am such an amazing girl looking for my own home. I am extremely loyal and just love receiving cuddles. I need constant affection and reassurance so I need to be in a home where there will be someone there all the time. I can get a bit stressed in certain situations; and when out for a walk I tend to grab at my lead and pull forward around other dogs who invade my space, so you need to reassure me before this happens.

My K9 Carers Notes

Luna is an extremely loyal, loving and affectionate girl who adores human company and attention – she is very much a people pleaser.
Luna is an amazing girl who deserves a loving family. She is looking for an understanding home as she can exhibit signs of separation anxiety as a result of her cravings for affection. This can result in undesirable behaviours such as grabbing the lead when out on walks however she will quickly settle and walk nicely. We feel she would best suit a calm, quiet environment and surroundings with someone who is around all the time and gradually build up the time she’s left alone.

Whilst Luna has been with us she does get worked up around dogs due to the stressful nature of our kennel environment but she is getting much better. She would need further de-sensitisation and gradually become accustomed to dogs in a calmer, quiet environment.

DIESEL.webp

A Little About Me

Hello, my name is Diesel. I am a very typical vocal Shepherd looking for understanding owners that have had dogs like me previously.

My Carers Notes

Diesel is a very lovely misunderstood boy, looking for a home to call his own.
He is an incredibly sweet boy, with very typical Shepherd traits whilst in kennels such as separation anxiety when left, so would love an owner who he can spend most of his time with.

Diesel is a playful and loveable boy who needs someone who is around a lot of the time and to build up his time being left slowly. He can be strong on lead so will need an owner who is able to walk him and continue working on his loose lead training. Children in the home will need to be over the age of 16+ and comfortable around large dogs.

Diesel would like to be the only pet in the home so that he can receive all the attention he deserves. Diesel can be worried by main roads and fast traffic, he would like a home that is on a quieter road so busier roads can be avoided on his walks.

Ideally Diesel will need an active home that can work with him and provide a good amount of exercise to drain him of pent up energy and frustration.
Diesel loves fetch which is a great way to burn off a lot of his energy, and really form a one to one bond with him.

MARLEY.webp

Meet Marley! A 2-year-old large crossbreed and is an absolute bundle of joy. Marley loves to play fetch, he’s so bouncy and friendly, and he’ll be a loyal and devoted companion to any family.
Marley is a very well-behaved boy who knows all of the basic obedience commands. He can sit, give paw, lie down and respond to his name, and stays on command. He’s also very responsive to verbal cues.

Marley would make an excellent addition to any family, especially those with older children who are able to give him a lot of attention. Marley loves to play and be part of your family and will be a devoted companion to anyone who gives him the chance. However, due to his size and temperament, Marley would not be suitable for homes with other dogs or any small animals.

Unfortunately, Marley isn’t able to live with other dogs as he can be vocal and unsure, so it’s important that he’s the only dog in your home, however Marley can still walk among other dogs on regular walks providing correct introductions has been done beforehand.

BRUNO.webp

CLOVER.webp

A Little About Me
Hello, my name’s Clover. I’m a sweet girl who is looking for a family that are willing to come and do a few meets with me to help my socialisation. I haven’t really learnt how to play with toys but if you are willing to teach me and have patience, I’m sure I can pick it up. Being a typical Mali and still young, I love my adventures so would be looking for an active family to come explore with me.

My K9 Carers Notes
Clover is a beautiful Malinois who is looking for her forever home. She is a sweet girl with a lot of energy and love to give, but she needs someone with experience of Malinois and reactivity. Clover is an intelligent and highly trainable dog so she needs someone who can provide her with the structure and boundaries she needs to thrive. She also has separation anxiety which will require patience and work to overcome. Clover is a dog who needs socialisation, and we are looking for a family who can help her achieve this. She is a loving dog who craves attention and affection, but she can be reactive to new situations. With proper training and socialisation we believe that Clover can overcome this issue and become a well-adjusted dog. Clover is a dog who needs lead work training, as she is a strong dog who can be difficult to handle on walks. But with the right training she can become a great walking companion. She loves to play and is a very active dog, so she needs a family who can keep up with her energy levels.

ASH.webp

Hello my name is Ash. I am a super boy who is looking for a dog experienced home to call my own.

My Carers Notes

Meet Ash, a handsome Presa Canario Cross who came into our kennels as a stray. Despite his unknown history, Ash has certainly won over our hearts with his warm, loving personality. He is sociable with his human companions and is super excitable to greet everyone he meets. Ash has shown signs of dog reactivity, which means that he needs a special home with people who are calm, confident and can offer Ash guidance managing this type of behaviour. This means he would not be suitable to live with other dogs or children at this time.

POPPY.webp

A Little About Me
Hello my name is Poppy. I am a super full of life active girl, who is looking for an active home to help keep me busy.

My Carers Notes
Meet Poppy ! This 2-year-old Labrador crossbreed is a real gem of a girl who is full of life, energy, and love. Poppy is a gorgeous lady who is eager to please and make new friends but is also very excitable and can be a bit shy at first. She loves to explore and play with her toys, and she is a real sweetheart who just wants to have fun.

We recommend her being paired with an owner who is willing and able to dedicate plenty of time to her exercise and mental stimulation needs. Poppy is a very active dog and will require a lot of exercise and playtime to ensure that she doesn’t get bored.
.
Poppy can be a bit excitable at times, so would need to be paired with a family who is prepared to help her focus her energy and help her learn how to chill out when needed. Poppy is a very lovely and excitable girl who will be the perfect companion for someone who is looking for a dog that is full of love and energy.

She is keen to learn and will enjoy training sessions, and will thrive in a home where she can have plenty of space to run and play. Poppy is a real beauty who deserves the best forever home, with lots of space, love, food, and attention – and in return, she will make you the happiest owner in the world!

ROLO.webp

Meet Rolo, an 8-year-old Staffie cross who is looking for an understanding home to call his own.

Rolo arrived into our care as a stray, so much of his history is unknown. In our care Rolo is a friendly boy, who does enjoy fuss once his initial trust has been established. Although he does not like to be picked up or carried. Ideally Rolo needs an owner that can offer time and patience for him to come out of his shell.

Rolo is a smart boy, who does understand his basic commands and with the right guidance we do feel he could learn more once settled in a home. Rolo has been shown and introduced to toys in our care but does still remain fairly unsure on how to play with them, he would much rather do his own thing and can be fairly independent at times.

Rolo is an under-socialised boy especially being picked up and in a vet environment, although he has made huge improvements in our care, especially with plenty of positive reassurance and treats. It is highly recommended this vet socialisation continues in his future home to really allow him to build his confidence.

DUKE.webp

A Little About Me
Hello, my name is Duke, I am a full of life boy who is looking for a home to call my own.

My Carers Notes
Meet Duke, a lovely and energetic 3-year-old Staffie Cross who’s looking for a dog experienced home to call his own.

This lovable boy has so much to offer – he’s sweet and friendly and loves to play with his toys. Duke is a quick learner – he already knows his basic commands such as sit and respond to his name, and he’s showing real potential in learning recall as well.

Duke is looking for an adult only home with no other dogs, preferably with an owner that is dog experienced so that can continue with his training as Duke does has been known to guard over his food. So, we’re looking for an owner who will take the time to work with Duke on this issue and provide him with the right training and support.
