We are always looking for like minded and dedicated volunteers from the West Midlands that want to help make difference for the animals we come into contact with. There are a variety of ways you can help, listed below are the openings we have at present. If you enjoy a challenge, have a professional approach, then we want to hear from you. Please complete the application form below.
We are looking for people who have spare time to help with the day to day running of K9 Search UK. You will need good communication skills and a professional approach as you will be dealing with members of the public and officials. The large percentage of work will be online so access to a computer is a must.
We are seeking people to assist in urgent transport runs, they could be local or further afield. Candidate must have their own vehicle. We can provide loan safety equipment if needed such as crates, travel harnesses, dog guards (if available). We do offer fuel reimbursements on request as long as receipts are submitted.
We are always being asked by local rescues and stray dog kennels to do homechecks on potential adopters. Ideally volunteers should have experience in homechecking. (Those with no experience would be expected to attend short workshop).
Each and every day we see the endless array of strays, unwanted, abandoned and neglected dogs. We are lucky to have some fantastic rescues that help us greatly. However, they can only help so many, due to the lack of fosterers, they are now having no choice but to say "sorry, we have no room". The question is are you in a position to open up your home to a dog that needs that extra bit of tender loving care? Fostering animals is very rewarding, all food and vets bills are covered by the rescue, all you need is a big heart and a desire to help. Whether it be on an emergency basis or more long term, we want to hear from you.
We are always looking for people to help us organise our own events or help at other events we are invited to. Administration, stall attendants, marshals, general helpers, etc. Once again, all you need is good communication skills and a professional manner as you would be dealing with members of the public.
We are looking for volunteers with experience of dealing with the media, able to send out press releases and able to build strong working relationships with local newspapers, radio and television. Good communication skills and a professional manner is a must.
